Marianne Goodwin • School Leader
Marianne Goodwin has been with the Leona Group since 2002. She was first a teacher, then the special services director, as well as the curriculum coach and scholarship liaison.
Marianne is originally from the east coast, where she received her first degree in education and her second in special education. She has lived overseas, and in New York, Connecticut, and Florida. She moved to Arizona over 20 years ago. She has been an educator for many years, teaching all subjects at the elementary and middle school levels and later specializing in student support services.
Shortly after her first few years of teaching, Marianne was a branch manager for one of the top insurance companies in the country, adding some business experience to her education background, but she had to come back to education which has always been her passion. Marianne believes that every child can learn regardless of challenges.
Marianne feels that her role as a teacher is to help students become independent, critical thinkers so they can go out into the world and make a difference. As school leader, she feels she has the best staff and teachers that make for a great team. She enjoys the challenge and adventure of being school leader at Skyview High School.
