Phil Knorr was born in New Jersey and moved to Arizona in 1966. After graduating Palo Verde High School he joined the United States Air Force and served as a security policeman for 24 years. Upon his retirement in 1998 he had earned his associates degree in criminal justice and rose to the position of security police superintendent. He has completed courses in counter-terrorism, critical response to school violence and drug impairment training for education professionals. Phil is certified in several FEMA areas to include the incident command system, incident command system for schools, multi-hazard emergency planning for schools and the national incident management system. Phil has been on the staff at Skyview High School since December 1998. His official title is office manager / dean of students.
