High School Graduation Requirements
The State of Arizona requires that students who graduate in the Class of 2012 have 20 credits:
English 4 credits
Mathematics 3 credits
Science 2 credits
Social Studies 3 credits
CTE/Fine Art 1 credit
Electives 7 credits
Students that will be graduating in the Class of 2013 or later will be required to have no less than 22 credits:
English 4 credits
Mathematics 4 credits
Science 3 credits
Social Studies 3 credits
CTE/Fine Art 1 credit
Electives 7 credits
These requirements are subject to change based upon the State of Arizona academic requirements. Students and parents should be aware that the requirements for graduating and receiving a diploma require students to pass all AIMS testing. It also very important that if students are looking to go to a university that they meet with the Administration to ensure that all credit requirements for the university are met. Acquiring the proper number of credits for the State of Arizona does not always meet the requirements a university may require.
